Biography
Attorney Sanja Mišević’s legal expertise springs from many different legal roles she held throughout her career path, from lawyer and attorney, bankruptcy administrator, to the state secretary in the Ministry of Justice.
Her education path began in BiH where she attended high school “Bugojno” from 1987. until 1991. In 1993., she enrolled in the Faculty of Law in Osijek after which in 1995. she acquired the undergrad title of an administrative lawyer and in 1999. she graduated with a title of “dipl. iur.”. Afterwards in 2002., she passed the bar exam, and in 2010. she passed the professional exam for bankruptcy administrator. As of 2025, she completed the postgraduate doctoral program and acquired a title of “Dr.sc“.
Her career path began at the State Archive in Osijek in 1999, after which she started working in the “Dundo Maroje” firm, where she acquired her first professional skills. From 2001. until 2004., she worked as a junior associate lawyer in Alen Jakobović’s attorney office, and afterward as an Attorney at Law in her own office up until 2016.
From 2010. up until today except from being an Attorney at Law and a senior partner at Law Firm Mišević & Jarić Ltd., she simultaneously holds the function of bankruptcy administrator, which additionally led to the expansion of her legal repertoire, allowing her to gain a deeper understanding of business and financial procedures. Additionally, in the period from 2016. to 2017. she held the function of State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice.
Along with her professional work, attorney Sanja Mišević actively contributes to the legal community as a Higher disciplinary judge at the Disciplinary Court of the Croatian Bar Association and as a judge of the Arbitrary committee at the Croatian Commerce Chamber. Additionally, her name is also associated with the editorial office of the magazine “Attorney” where she actively participates in shaping and promoting the legal profession.
Attorney Sanja Mišević’s authorship is visible from a wide spectrum of published works which include topics of Labor Law, Bankruptcy Law, liability in the legal profession, and legal challenges in the European legal context.
When it comes to her author’s contribution to the legal community, the Republic of Croatia Bar Association award “Mario Kos” for the best professional article published in the magazine “Attorney” in 2018., speaks for itself. Alongside recognized authorship, attorney Sanja Mišević’s role as a lecturer on numerous conferences, congresses, and workshops is also worth mentioning.
